RESOURCES for Urban Church Planters
If you're planting a church in an urban center—or you're already serving in the city and want to train others—our network offers practical, theologically grounded training designed with you in mind.
City to City provides curriculum and training resources to support urban church planters and leaders. Training is facilitated locally through our trusted hubs in six urban centers: New York City, Miami, Phoenix, Chicago, SoCal (LA area), and the Bay Area. Each hub operates independently, customizing training to meet the needs of its local context.
To explore available programs, timelines, or applications, please visit the website of the hub nearest to you. Note: These external sites are managed independently and may vary in content and scheduling.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMS
INTENSIVE
The Intensive is a multi-week program is designed to train urban church planters by exposing them to urban church planting concepts, theological resources to grow churches, leadership modules, and other church planting principles. Participants in the Intensive are selected through an extensive recruiting and screening process.
TRAIN THE TRAINER
Train the Trainer introduces leaders who are ready to train local church planters to City to City's urban church planter Incubator curriculum, a two-year course adaptable for their city. By using a curriculum that reflects the local culture, we believe leaders can develop a training program that more effectively serves church planters in their context.
INCUBATOR
The Incubator is a two-year program that equips church planters in key cities through local trainers. Each module addresses the unique challenges of urban ministry, helping planters think theologically, develop their philosophy of ministry, and strengthen core skills like preaching, planning, and leadership—right in the critical launch phase of their congregations.
